A resource management game combined with space exploration. The player must keep their ship functional while helping build and develop settlements on the planets they discover.
Side Note: Originally intended to be developed for a Game Jam life circumstance prevented me from participating. As a result this game was developed in as short a time as possible in 1 to 3 hour stints over several days.
Here is a video of the first playable version of the game. All the resource values and build times have been adjusted to shorten the play time for demo purposes in actuality building takes longer and resources are more limited.
Using a Rubik's Cube function as the basis the idea is to make a maze that rotates each time you pass into a new room. The player will start on a certain square and the goal will be to get to the exit room in the least number of moves. Each time the player changes rooms the other two sections of the maze that the player doesn’t occupy will move in the direction perpendicular to the players movement.
To properly add “rooms” to our maze each square needs a designation I have assigned one to each square. The number refers to a specific cube while the letter refers to a side on each cube. Once a maze has been designed a list is created matching each square with the type of “room” it should contain.
There should be 2 sets of directional controls one set to move the character forward backward left or right one room with each press. The second set will rotate the maze so the player can view it from different angles this should also have a center button that rotates back to the side that the character currently occupies. In the center of the character directional controls should be an undo button to take back their last move

An adventure to reawaken the elements and restore the heritage of the Ancient Dragons.
As the powers of creation and destruction clashed around them in a raging whirlwind of colours and sound. One question echoed through their minds in its cruel mocking voice, “Is all this really worth dying for?” Ezo’s response was simple and clear, “No. but it’s worth living for!”

This is the tale of an army deserter discovering her connection to the elements that created life and the amazing powers that connection brings. Focused on someone who has never had power or self autonomy suddenly getting both in abundance. The Narrative is very important and thus still going through many iterations.
The map above shows the four major land masses that the world will contain each with a unique culture that has settled on them. The Empire of Golonder, a militaristic society that is currently trying to conquer the globe. The capital is located in the center of the map and their society and architecture is highly utilitarian with an indoctrinated sense of national pride and Zeno-phobia. Lezmark the nation to the south is a close ally with Golonder and prides it self on technological innovation. The entire capitol is powered by the nearby dormant volcano and they have achieved a level of technology close to the early industrial age of the Victorian era. While they are known for quick thinking they are also often thought to be deceptive and are very protective of their secrets. Dumplemire is the nation on the left of the map. The location of their capital is not known outside of the nations people because they have been in a one-sided war with Golonder for centuries. Made up of mostly pacifists but portrayed as the aggressors they must closely guard the secrets of the magics that protect them. Their culture is heavily based on the Celtic Druids and are the last worshipers of Dragons. The final nation to the west Floronon is the most mysterious. Believed to be merely a small group of warring savages little attention has been given to the far off nation. Our hero however will learn there is considerably more to these people than previously thought.
In ancient times dragons ruled the planet. Now extinct what mysterious connection does our protagonist have with this magnificent race.

Planned to be a linear adventure game, with puzzles and problem solving. It will also contain open world elements with some exploration. Think Zelda Ocarina of Time or Darksiders. Originally planned to be built in Unity after seeing the specs for Unreal Engine 5 I am switching game engines to use Unreal Engine 4. The biggest challenge so far is not having anyone to help with modeling or coding I am having to educate myself even further. The current goal is to build two demos one of combat and one of the castle white box to try out the puzzling aspect.
